Hi! My name is Toni and I thrive on the freedom to explore unconventional ideas and challenge existing norms. I'm very passionate about human-centered solutions and empathetic design with a unique perspective shaped by my background as an international student from Nigeria. Through that, creativity to me was established as a way of life. Whether it's observing the rhythmic chaos of a bustling marketplace or the elegant simplicity of traditional Nigerian art, inspiration surrounds me in every corner. Industrial Design allows me to channel this creativity into tangible solutions that enhance everyday life. By blending cultural insights, human-centered thinking, and innovative problem-solving, I strive to design products that are both functional and deeply meaningful.
The four essential pillars encompass human-centric design approach and the understanding of full-bodied, three dimensional physical interaction of user, product and environment. The projects generate innovative solutions using research-driven, evidence-based designs which focus on the user experience.

Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) profoundly impacts young adults, leading to chronic pain, frequent crises, and emotional isolation. Inspired by personal experiences and stories from families affected by SCD, this project aims to empower patients to live fuller lives beyond their condition. Currently, there is a lack of effective and affordable products or therapies tailored specifically to the needs of young adults with Sickle Cell Disease (SCD), despite it being the most common genetic blood disorder. This gap highlights an urgent need for innovative solutions to address the unique challenges faced by this population. Ultimately, Famora seeks to create sustainable solutions that promote healthier and more independent living for individuals with SCD. Thereby improving the daily lifestyle and better mental health for the users, while alleviating the burden on their caregivers and support systems.
