About the Program
Graduates of Humber’s performance-based Introduction to Commercial Jazz Music certificate have solid knowledge of the fundamentals of western music and have strengthened their performance skills through the jazz-specific areas of improvisation, repertoire development and small group ensemble performance. They have a clear understanding of the music field and their own career potential within it, and are stronger candidates for entry into post-secondary music degree and diploma programs.
