Hi! I’m Shraddha Bhojane, a journalist and an aspiring content writer with an undergraduate degree in mass media from Mumbai, India. Ever since I was a teenager, I aspired to be in the media industry. What initially began as a dream to be a radio show host, was cultivated into sincerity and zeal toward feature writing. I believe in creating engaging stories by utilizing various aids, such as literary and visual, and delivering a concise, holistic view.

Philip Lau (he/him) is a Toronto-based journalist. Before moving to Canada, he completed a Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Hong Kong. He is interested in both Canadian and international politics, extreme weather and climate change, and Asian culture. Right now, he wants to work at a breaking news environment for print or digital media. As a long-term goal, he wants to become a Queen’s Park or Ottawa correspondent.

James Westman is a student journalist at Humber College in Toronto, and one day if ChatGPT 5 does not cut most news outlets’ staff in half, ideally a full-time paid journalist. He has reported on the ground of the 2016 Republican National Convention, the self-proclaimed “Freedom Convoy” both in Ottawa and Toronto and Trump rallies in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. James has been a diagnosable American politics junkie for at least 10 years, but you will never hear him say Canadian politics is boring. If you ask him, he will exclaim that could not be further from the truth. His beat areas include political extremism, rising authoritarianism, irreversible, exponential, catastrophic anthropogenic climate disruption and the prospects of nuclear war and an ensuing nuclear winter. He wakes each day to an alarm featuring academic and author Noam Chomsky discussing the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists’ Doomsday Clock. He is a lot of fun at parties.

I have previously completed a Bachelor’s Degree in TV Journalism and am now pursuing a post-graduate Journalism certificate through Humber College. I am a fan of social media and going to work in this field in Canada as well. I can improve your content with my creativity and willingness to sell through social media. I am always happy to improve my skills and open to any ideas. Also, I constantly improve my own content on social media.

I'm a student-journalist at Humber College currently interning at the CBC as an associate producer with the Canada Tonight team. Prior to CBC, I worked as a work-study journalist for the college's Faculty of Health Science and Wellness, as well as at Humber's newspaper 'Et Cetera' as the Culture Desk editor and Senior Reporter. Before attending Humber, I studied at Toronto Metropolitan University and graduated on the Dean's List with an Honours Degree in Criminology and a minor in Spanish. I'm also the CEO + Founder of DESIGNSBYMNK, a Toronto-based jewellery brand that provides its customer with jewellery pieces ranging in a variety of materials for every customer to enjoy.

Living life one story at a time - a little bit of this and a lot of that. As a writer, Heta enjoys chasing travel, lifestyle, fashion, sex and relationships, as well as beauty. She graduated from the University of Mumbai with a Bachelor's degree in mass media, specializing in journalism. Additionally, Heta has a diploma from the FAD International Academy in fashion designing and styling. For the past two and a half years, she has worked as a freelance writer and multimedia journalist. Apart from that, as a digital nomad, she loves to backpack around the hills or dips her toes in the ocean to document her experiences and adventures.

I am a student in the post-graduate journalism certficate program. I hold an undergraduate degree in Communications and Political Science. My love for human rights issues has allowed me to focus on telling underrepresented stories from marginalized communities in my work.

Wong, is an aspiring visual storyteller, studying a one-year Journalism Graduate Certificate program at Humber College. Originated from Hong Kong, and was exposed to a place with cultures from East and West and various inspirations. He developed an interest in photography and videography from a young age. Still, it was Journalism fired up his passion, and then he worked as a video journalist for a few years right after he finished his degree in Sociology in Hong Kong. He believes in the power of visual storytelling, as every frame has its own story to tell, representing a strong signal that a person captured in a particular photo communicates with the audience through that frame. The frame speaks for the person’s emotions, thoughts, or some sense of the situation through a photographer’s capture of a particular frame or moment; that’s the power of visual storytelling.
