Humber has a large number of publishing industry partners who offer internship, networking and career opportunities

If you are a current student or graduate of Creative Book Publishing, you may qualify for an internship. Most full-time internships run for 12 to 16 weeks and offer an honorarium of $1,200 to $1,500. Through the program, we also offer several paid internships.

Publishing interns work in various sectors of the industry, including:

  • trade
  • educational
  • children’s
  • self-publishing
  • scholarly
  • digital

Within publishing and related companies, interns gain experience in:

  • editorial
  • marketing
  • content development
  • contracts and permissions
  • content management
  • production and design
  • composition
  • sales
  • rights

Note: Although internships are a great way to gain work experience that often leads to full-time jobs, an internship is not a requirement of our program. This means that, unlike some programs, if you get a paid position straight out of school, you still have all the requirements to graduate!
