William Woods


William Woods is a Toronto-based producer and screenwriter with a focus on feature films that have both commercial and philosophical merit. He began his career with the thriller Mean Dreams (Elevation, 2016), starring Sophie Nélisse, Josh Wiggins, Colm Feore and Bill Paxton, which premiered in the Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes and had its North American premiere at TIFF.  Woods’ most recent film productions include Castle in the Ground (2020), starring Alex Wolff, Imogen Poots, Neve Campbell, Keir Gilchrist and Tom Cullen, which premiered at TIFF; The Kid Detective (2020), starring Adam Brody, which was nominated for the John Dunning Best First Feature Film Award at the Canadian Screen Awards; Like a House on Fire (2020), starring Sarah Sutherland, Hammer (2019), starring Will Patton, and Spinster (2019) starring Chelsea Peretti, which premiered at Whistler Film Festival. Will is currently in development for a new feature, The King Tide.
