This independent study project involved the voluntary redesign of two spaces within Olivet Baptist Church, situated at 36 Margueretta St, Toronto, ON M6K 2P6. Pastor Samuel specifically chose two children's rooms for the redesign: one catering to children aged 2-6 years old, and the other for those aged 7-11 years old. Pastor Samuel highlighted the church's ongoing initiative to modernize various areas within the premises, having recently completed the renovation of the boardroom and planning to commence work on the children's rooms.
This timing aligned perfectly with the opportunity for a complimentary redesign of these spaces. The designated areas function as both Bible study and daycare rooms, accommodating approximately 8-10 children simultaneously. Essential features for these rooms include sinks, desks, chairs, and storage facilities for arts and crafts materials.
In summary, this proved to be an extraordinary learning journey that stretched my boundaries, provided invaluable firsthand client engagement, and empowered me to craft a tangible design that will materialize into reality.

Following the complimentary redesign of the two children's rooms, the next undertaking is a legacy project involving the creation of a playroom situated in the basement of Olivet Baptist Church. Pastor Samuel expressed the church's aspiration to renovate this space in the future, once all other renovation projects have been concluded.
