Whether you're a marketing professional, an aspiring entrepreneur or a business leader, this micro-credential is your gateway to staying competitive and ahead of the curve. Learners will gain a big-picture understanding of how AI works, as well as real-world techniques to boost productivity and automate select digital marketing and business functions.

Participants will learn how to optimize AI outputs using effective prompt-writing techniques and assess the risks and considerations when using AI tools in the workplace. They will learn about the impact of AI technology on careers in digital marketing and business, and gain insights on how to help future-proof their organizations.

The learner understands how to implement strategies to maximize AI tools for digital marketing, business and communications purposes, including the ability to use effective prompt writing techniques.


Delivery Format

This micro-credential is delivered in a live on-line class with an industry professional. It consists of 15 hours of learning, normally delivered once a week for 3-hours over a 5-week period.

Emily Baillie

Emily Baillie is a digital marketing & AI consultant, trainer, speaker and professor. With over 15 years of experience in the marketing industry, she has worked with large and small brands across various sectors including GlaxoSmithKline, Ontario Economic Development Corporations, Saugeen First Nation, United Way, and Canadian Marketing Association (CMA). Emily has a passion for leveraging tech and AI trends.

Emily is a Chartered Marketer and a Panel Judge in the annual CMA Marketing Awards. She holds a BA in Communications from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Certificate in Strategic Marketing from the University of Toronto. Her approach to teaching and training is collaborative, inclusive and practical. She specializes in breaking down complex topics into accessible, easy-to-understand language and showing people of all ages and backgrounds that learning can be fun.

With AI everywhere now and growing by the day, having an understanding of the functions various AI tools can execute, having the confidence to use different tools and being able to evaluate them is critical for any businessperson.
