Overview
Social media management is an important component of the rapidly evolving esports landscape. Led by a current industry expert, this micro-credential will teach the foundational skills needed to effectively manage an esports social media account, and provide students with the essential tools required to pursue a career in esports social media management. All content will focus specifically on the esports industry, showcasing brands, teams, and content creators that operate in the space. Learners will be able to demonstrate how each social media platform functions, identify target audiences and use brand voices to boost the reception of the brands they will manage in the esports industry.

Competency Achieved
The earner of this micro-credential can demonstrate the foundational skills needed for social media management in esports, including developing strategies to engage an esports audience through different social platforms and the ability to create effective content for social media accounts.
Delivery Format
This micro-credential consists of a weekly 1-hour online class over 8 weeks, with an additional 1-2 hours of self-study per module. Learners should expect 25-30 hours total to successfully complete the micro-credential.
Kendryx Linscott is a digital marketer, international professional speaker, and contract professor at Humber College. With over 17 years of experience in the marketing industry and over 10 years in the esports industry, they have worked with organizations of all sizes helping them develop comprehensive marketing strategies. They’ve worked with brands such as Team Alliance, TheScore esports, Women in Games International, Moonrock Agency, Game Builds, Esports Insider, HyperX, and Razer.
Kendryx is keen to nurture her students' passion for esports and help them develop the skills necessary to secure employment in the esports industry. They focus on ensuring that students feel welcomed in their classroom and that they are provided all opportunities to expand their understanding of marketing in tandem with their enthusiasm for esports.
