Lydia Persaud

Lydia Persaud has been busy. Very busy. Since graduating from Humber’s Bachelor of Music program in 2013, she’s been a member of several popular Toronto bands, toured, and recorded and released both an EP and an album. We caught up with Lydia, who’s also a grad of our Introduction to Commercial Jazz Music program, to find out about her career since Humber.

NOW

I just recently released my first full-length solo album in May of 2019. I’m always working on new writing, but since the release of the album, I’ve been focusing on tightening up the live show in preparation to tour a bit more.

THEN

I’ve been a part of many projects since graduating Humber:

HUMBER

Many of the people that I make music with to this day went to Humber. Growing alongside so many Humber grads within the Canadian music scene makes me very proud of the amazing work everyone is doing. Fond memories include performing with friends on final recitals and spending evenings rehearsing.
