Antanas Sileika particularly enjoys working with students on humour, historical fiction, and stories set in East and Central Europe. Sileika’s latest memoir is called The Death of Tony, and the one before that was called "dead-on funny" by Miriam Toews. Publisher's Weekly described his novel, Provisionally Yours, as an "urbane thriller." It has been adapted into both a feature film and a television serial. In addition to his two memoirs, he is the author of six books of fiction, and a winner of a National Magazine Award. He has been short-listed for the Leacock Medal for Humour as well as the Toronto Book Award. Some Unfinished Business, his most recent novel, appeared in 2023. You can read more at antanassileika.com.
