Elyse Friedman
Elyse Friedman is a critically acclaimed author and screenwriter. She has written for screens large and small, radio, magazines, and the stage. Her work has been short-listed for the Trillium Book Award, The Toronto Book Award, the Relit Award and the Tom Hendry Award. Her short story The Soother, won the gold National Magazine Award for fiction, and she has twice won the TIFF-CBC Films Screenwriter Award. Her most recent novel, The Opportunist was published in Canada, the US, Germany, Holland, Spain, and Czechia, and optioned for film by Netflix US. Elyse has had two feature films produced, and she's currently developing an original TV series.
