Lana Button

Lana Button is the award-winning author of more than a dozen books for children. Lana’s books have been translated into 5 different languages and have received the Crystal Kite Award, the Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Award and the IBBY Outstanding Book for Young Children. Her picture books have been shortlisted for The Blue Spruce, The Shining Willow, The Jean Throop IODE Book Award and the Rainforest of Reading, and have been recognized as Canadian Children’s Book Centre’s Best Book of the Year and Best Bets.

Lana is a public speaker with a background in early childhood education and performance. Her literary presentations, which focus on social-emotional topics covered in her books, have inspired thousands of students and educators across Canada.
