Live Lab Highlights

The Usability Lab

This “Live Lab” is a full-fledged usability lab where content creators can capture & assess the interaction between user and design. Designed with flexibility at its core, it has been equipped with a broad variety of technology, supporting usability testing at many different levels of sophistication. What makes this lab unique is the fact that it is mobile. This one-of-a-kind usability lab can be delivered to any location. Students can participate in and lead experiments that will truly test the designs they have developed. At the same time, we can push the envelope in usability testing, as designs adapt to a multi-platform environment.

Other Live Labs Used In Applied Research

Using state-of-the-art equipment working in direct collaboration with industry, students are encouraged to push the boundaries, explore and invent while honing ideas and techniques. The School of Media Studies & Information Technology has an array of labs that support innovation, creativity, and the development of unique skillsets highly valued by industry.

Humber Et Cetera

 Humber Et Cetera is the Humber College journalism program laboratory newspaper, publishing 11 times per term in fall and winter.

Mobile Unit

This "Live Lab" is a complete broadcast facility on wheels, offering students “real-world” broadcast production experience.

Humber News

Humber News is Humber’s online news publication. It is produced and run by Humber Journalism students.

Radio Humber is Humber's on-campus radio station. Students in our Radio programs have the opportunity to contribute to Radio Humber 96.9 FM.
