SMB Pulse

Abstract: Small to medium-sized business (SMB) owners and entrepreneurs have atypical schedules and lifestyles, as their daily activities are primarily focused on the growth and maintenance of their businesses. When they seek business-related insight or advice, they usually turn to the numerous available online resources. Searching for specific, high quality information is often time consuming and can generate contradictory results. Currently, there is no television channel or web-based service in Canada or internationally that offers streamlined, targeted information specifically for SMBs and entrepreneurs. To satisfy this need, CSMB-TV worked with Humber College to develop SMB Pulse, an online, on-demand information and entertainment network for Canadian SMBs and entrepreneurs. Students working on this project were able to gain practical experience in website and mobile application development that they will be able to apply in the workplace.
