The Accessible Media team

David Widmann was introduced to accessibility through a note taking job with George Brown College's Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (DHHS). From there, he went on to broadcast closed captioning for Alliance Atlantis Communications Inc. (HGTV, Showcase, BBC Canada) followed by providing captions for the University of Ontario Institute of Technology.

Andrew Belanger brings extensive captioning and described video experience to the Accessible Media Department. Himself a veteran of George Brown's DHHS, Andrew's broadcast credits include Shaw Media (Food Network Canada, Slice, History Television) and Channel Zero (CHCH Hamilton, Silver Screen Classics).

David and Andrew work with a small team of media-savvy students to ensure accurate captioning and described video for the FMCA community.
