The Faculty of Media, Creative Arts, and Design regularly offers two AODA Inclusive Design training workshops that will help you understand the AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act), how it affects communication design, and how to incorporate inclusive design best practices into your daily workflow.
Creating Accessible Documents and Communications Training is a one-day workshop covering the creation of accessible documents in popular applications including Microsoft Office and Adobe design products.
Inclusive Design Training for Media Professionals is a two-day workshop geared towards web developers and online content creators. It covers best practices for digital and web communications design as well as testing for accessibility and usability.
Both workshops are led by Jennie Grimard, graphics design professor in the FMCAD.
Visit the AODA Inclusive Design Training page for information and workshop registration dates.
